From a cycling family to a Swiss automobile racing driver
From 2004 to 2007, Nico Müller began his motorsport career racing Go Karts. In 2008, he switched to formula racing and competed for Jenzer Motorsport in the Swiss Formula Renault, finishing in fifth place overall. In 2009, Nico stayed with Jenzer, dominating the LO Formula Renault 2.0 with nine victories and his first championship title in automobile racing. After racing victories in the GP3 series and FR 3.5 (Winner of the Monaco Grand Prix), he managed to make the transition to becoming a professional racing driver. As an Audi factory driver squad, he entered the world’s toughest touring car series, the DTM. After one victory, seven podium places and two top-10 championship placings, the car racer from the Bernese Oberland entered the DTM 2019 season with great ambitions – he earned second place in the 2019 and 2020 seasons and in 2021 he made it into the top 10.
