Norqain’s Neverest Collection Lights Up With New “Night Sight” Creation
Continuing a series of exciting NEVEREST launches, NORQAIN introduces a rugged 3-hand model with a fully luminescent dial for perfect legibility at every hour of the day – and night. The new launch further illuminates a path for children in Nepal through the brand’s partnership with the Butterfly Help Project.
NORQAIN knows that on the most challenging mountaineering routes, accurately reading the time is as important as timekeeping precision. The new NORQAIN Adventure NEVEREST Night Sight 40mm DLC meets both criteria while also making a positive impact by supporting the Butterfly Help Project.
Watch fans whose explorations know no limits will appreciate the completely glow-in-the-dark dial that gives this timepiece its name. The layer of powerful, high-quality X1 Super-LumiNova coats the entire dial – ensuring perfect visibility at any hour. The screwed-down crown and COSC-certified Manufacture Calibre NN20/1 make the NORQAIN Adventure NEVEREST Night Sight the ideal timekeeping companion on adventures at any height – day or night. The striking, high-quality NEVEREST timepiece will appeal to adventurers who appreciate and are humbled by the excitement and beauty of nature, and who want to make a positive impact with their purchase.
By purchasing a NORQAIN Adventure NEVEREST Night Sight – or any other previously launched NORQAIN NEVEREST models – customers can help NORQAIN contribute to the Butterfly Help Project and change the lives of children in Nepal. Ten per cent of earnings from the sales of all NEVEREST timepieces will be donated directly to the organization.
From the very beginning, mountain climbing has been a part of NORQAIN’s story – from the Swiss Alps in the logo to Mt. Everest, the inspiration behind the newest collection. The collection name captures the independent watchmaker’s adventurous spirit and its unending motivation to push the boundaries of the industry.
Powerful luminescence & timekeeping excellence
True to NORQAIN’s motto “your life, your way”, this 40mm watch was designed for wearers whose adventures take place around the clock. Among the most striking features of the watch is the bold dial, which is upgraded with a coating of X1 Super-LumiNova that glows green in the dark of night. In the light of day, the black hand-applied and satin-brushed numbers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock stand out from the sand-coloured background. The facetted light grey hands are set with X1 Super-LumiNova markers for a seamless design and flawless legibility. The Grade X1 Super-LumiNova boasts superior quality and shows a performance increase of up to 60% after two hours compared to the standard grade – it establishes a new, unparalleled quality standard of the dial’s visibility at night.
Fashioned from stainless steel, the case features both polished and satined finishes. The case, bezel, screwed-down crown, and lugs complete the watch’s rugged look with all-black DLC coating. Even the NORQAIN plate on the left side of the case – engraved with “NEVEREST” – features DLC coating. Underscoring the extreme robustness of this Adventure timepiece is the rectangular crown protection that ensures durability and enhances the design.
The bi-directional bezel is engraved with the initials of the cardinal and ordinal directions. The exception is “north”, which is indicated with NORQAIN’s logo resembling a mountain peak. The versatility of “Night Sight” is confirmed with “200M/660FT” printed on the dial, indicating its water resistance.
NORQAIN’s next-level independence
The NORQAIN Adventure NEVEREST Night Sight 40mm DLC is equipped with NORQAIN’s Manufacture Calibre NN20/1, visible through the sapphire glass caseback. The COSC-certified automatic movement has a weekend-proof power reserve of 70 hours. The exclusivity of the movement is confirmed by the engraving of the brand’s core values – “Adventure – Freedom – Independence” – on the bridge and the recognisable “double N” logo engraved on the oscillating weight. The launch of its Manufacture Calibres in February 2020 marked an important milestone for the family-owned brand. Calibres NN20/1 and NN20/2 – produced in partnership with mechanical movement manufacturer, Kenissi – helped NORQAIN establish itself as a distinctive brand in the Swiss watch industry and showed that it is taking steps to ensure its long-term independence while offering customers timekeeping quality that exceeds industry standards. Underscoring the quality of these calibres is NORQAIN’s four-year international warranty, which can be extended to five years when the customer joins the NORQAINER Club within one month of their purchase.
NEVEREST contributions to the Butterfly Help Project
Ten per cent of the earnings of NEVEREST sales will be donated to the Butterfly Help Project. This organisation, created by Norbu Sherpa and Andrea Sherpa-Zimmerman of Wild Yak Expeditions, helps families of Sherpas who have lost their lives in the Himalayan mountains and give their children access to education. NORQAIN has committed to sending 50 children to school in 2021 and supporting them in the coming years. With earnings from the sales of NEVEREST watches, the independent brand will support more children in need through the Butterfly Help Project. The financial aid they receive through the sales of NEVEREST watches will pay for school fees, classroom material, books, uniforms, and athletic equipment.
